BRANDON DELLA PAOLERA, MEN'S ICE HOCKEY
Junior men’s ice hockey player Brandon Della Paolera was named AMCAT Spotlight Player of the Week for games played February 3rd through February 8th. On Saturday February 8th, 2025 the AMCATS would travel to North Adams to take on the Trailblazers of MCLA. Della Paolera would get the offensive momentum going for the AMCATS on a powerplay. He would find himself sending a pass in front to assist on the AMCATS second goal of the game against the Trailblazers. Della Paolera offensive momentum and skills would not stop there, with about seven minutes left in the second period, the AMCATS would have a powerplay, and he would pass the puck in the slot over to an AMCAT who would fire it home for the AMCATS fifth goal of the game. Brandon would continue to spark the AMCATS offense creating opportunities for the AMCATS to score and add to their lead, where he would pick up yet another assist for the AMCATS less than 30 seconds left to play in the second period, for the 6th goal of the game. His spectacular and dominating offensive skills would continue against the Trailblazers as in the third period he would find the back of net for the AMCATS 8th goal of the game. Della Paolera tremendous play and strong offensive skills would help to lead the AMCATS over the Trailblazers 8 to 3. Della Paolera night would end with a +3 rating with a goal and 3 assists. His goal would be his eighth goal of the season for the AMCATS. Brandon currently has 20 points with 8 goals and 12 assists and a +9 rating with the AMCATS so far this season.
The AMCATS will be back in action on Thursday February 13, 2025 where they will travel to New Bedford, MA to take on the Corsairs of Umass Dartmouth for a MASCAC conference game. Opening Puck-drop is set for 7:30pm.
