Women's Volleyball Struggles With Chargers
PAXTON, MA – On Saturday October 12, 2024, the Anna Maria College women's volleyball team traveled to New London, NH to take on the Chargers of Colby- Sawyer for a conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 3 sets to 0.
The first set would go back and forth and proved to be one of the best sets of the night for the AMCATS. Despite the AMCATS continuing the pressure and the strong offense, it would be the Chargers to win the first set over the AMCATS 25 to 13. Trailing 1-0, the AMCATS needed to come out strong offensively in the second set, but would find themselves completely dominated by the Chargers, losing the second set to the Chargers 25 to 9. The AMCATS would try to bounce back and find their offensive push for the third set, which would be a needed win for the AMCATS. Unable to claw back in set three, the AMCATS fell early to the Chargers and could not battle back despite their offensive push falling to the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer in set three 25 to 13. This would complete the Colby-Sawyer Chargers sweeping the AMCATS on the night 3 sets to 0.
