PAXTON, MA. – On Saturday, September 3rd the Anna Maria College women's soccer team traveled to Bristol, Rhode Island to take on the Hawks of Roger Williams University. The AMCATS lost the game 6-0.
After holding the Hawks scoreless for the first 15 minutes of the game, the AMCATS would be met by three unanswered goals over the span of 3 minutes. Nearly ten minutes later the Hawks would tack on their fourth goal of the half followed by a fifth goal just four minutes later. The AMCATS would close out the last ten minutes of the first half without giving up another goal.
Eighteen minutes into the second half, the Hawks would score the final goal of the game making it 6-0. Despite the score, the AMCATS managed to develop a few offensive opportunities throughout the second half, however it was not enough to give them a fighting chance.
COMING UP:
The AMCATS are back in action on Saturday September 7th where they will head down to New Haven, CT to take on the Albertus Magnus Falcons for a conference matchup. Opening kickoff is set for 1:00pm.
