Women's Soccer Draws With Sharks On Senior Night

PAXTON, MA - On Saturday, October 26th, the Anna Maria College women's soccer team hosted the Simmons University Sharks for Senior Night. The AMCATS settled for a 2-2 draw.

Anna Maria College women's soccer team faced off against Simmons in an exhilarating match that kept fans on the edge of their seats till the final whistle. The AMCATS walked into the first half with a good game plan and worked out perfectly. Their skill and determination paid off quickly as they struck first. The AMCATS continued to dominate the field, executing impressive plays. They doubled their lead before halftime, ending the first half with a positive 2-0 lead. 

As the second half began, it was clear that Simmons was not going to back down easily. They regrouped and returned to the field with only one goal, to win the game. Simmons also increased their offensive efforts, creating scoring opportunities and putting the AMCATS' defense to the test.  

With time running out, Simmons found a good chance and scored their first goal, narrowing the lead to 2-1. This brought more intensity to the game as both teams pushed each other's defense. The tension mounted as both teams fought fiercely for control, with each possession becoming more critical. 

In a dramatic turn of events, Simmons scored again in the final minute, leveling the game at 2-2. The late equalizer shocked the AMCATS, who had fought hard to maintain their lead. As the game ended, both teams left the field with a mix of pride and disappointment. The AMCATS now look to learn from this experience as they prepare for their upcoming challenges.

The AMCATS are back this Tuesday, October 29th as they play St. Joseph's(ME) for a late afternoon clash.
