Women's Soccer Held Scoreless By Raiders

NASHUA, NH - On Wednesday, September 25th the Anna Maria College women's soccer team traveled to Nashua, NH to take on the Rivier University Raiders for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 2-0.

The game wouldn't see its first goal until late in the second half, when the Raiders found the back of the net with just under eight minutes left to play. Trailing 1-0, the AMCATS would allow another Raiders goal just three minutes later. The late Raiders goal would put the AMCATS at a 2-0 deficit as the game came to a close.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

  • The AMCATS are 1-2 against the Raiders in their last three meetings.
  • Kortney Clark currently sits third in the GNAC for saves with 70 so far this season.

COMING UP:

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, September 28th where they will host the Colby-Sawyer Chargers for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. Opening kickoff is set for 6:00pm at Caparso Field in Paxton, MA.
