Clark Shuts The Door In Tie Against Mariners

NEW LONDON, CT - On Wednesday, October 16th the Anna Maria College women's soccer team traveled to New London, CT to take on the Mitchell College Mariners for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS tied the game 0-0.

After ninety minutes of evenly matched play, neither team would come out on top as the game ended with a score of 0-0. Kortney Clark would put up four saves in the AMCATS tie against the Mariners marking her third shutout of the season. Despite being held scoreless, Olivia Vale De Serra led the AMCATS offense with five shots (three shots on goal).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

  • The AMCATS have four ties so far this season marking the most in a single season in over ten years.
  • Kortney Clarks shutout performance marks the fourth of her career. All but one have come from ties.

COMING UP:

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, October 19th where they will host the Emmanuel College Saints for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. Opening kickoff is set for 12:00pm at Caparso Field in Paxton, MA.
