Women's Soccer Held Scoreless By Saints

PAXTON, MA - On Saturday, October 19th the Anna Maria College women's soccer team hosted the Emmanuel College Saints for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 5-0.

The Saints opened up the game quick, scoring the first goal of the game just 46 seconds into the first half. Two more Saints goals would get scored throughout the first fifteen minutes of the first half. Kortney Clark would make an 8 save effort to hold the Saints off for the remainder of the half as the game entered the intermission with a score of 3-0. 

After the break, things wouldn't get much better for the AMCATS as the Saints opened up the second half with a goal just four minutes in. Trailing by four. The AMCATS would hold off the Saints for a short stint before giving up the fifth and final goal of the game. The last 30 minutes of play would end up scoreless as the Saints closed out the day on top 5-0. Clark made 15 saves in the effort against the Saints.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

• Kortney Clark made her 200th career save against the Saints. In two years, Clark has made 211 total saves.
• The AMCATS have just three regular season games left this year.

COMING UP:

The AMCATS will be back in action on Tuesday, October 22nd where they will head to Newton, MA to take on the Lasell University Lasers for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. Opening kickoff is set for 3:00pm.
