Paxton, Mass.—Anna Maria College and the Athletic Department inducted the 2025 Hall of Fame Class on Saturday, March 22, 2025 on the campus of Anna Maria College. The inductees for the 9th Hall of Fame class included an outstanding group of individuals: Michael Cagle ’86 (Basketball), Jennifer Hurley O’Malley ’06 (Field Hockey, Basketball), Jeff Scafidi ’12 (Baseball), Robert H. Small ’14 (Football) and Raymond W. LeBoeuf, Jr. (Athletic Trainer, 1986 -2021). The 2025 Hall of Fame photo album is here

This year’s class has rewritten the records books, had outstanding careers during their time at Anna Maria and one individual made an immense impact on the student-athletes and coaches during his time in the department.

Michael Cagle ’86 emented his legacy as a standout player for the AMCATS men's basketball team. Over his illustrious four-year career, he amassed 1,785 points, ranking third all-time in program history. Cagle also grabbed 539 rebounds, placing him 13th on the all-time list. Remarkably durable and consistent, he appeared in all 100 career games, averaging 17.8 points and 5.39 rebounds per contest.

Cagle's impressive achievements include ranking seventh for single-game steals (seven), fourth in career points per game (18.2), second in career field goals made (751), and fifth in career free throws made (283). He earned him a spot on the Commonwealth Coast Conference All-Conference Team during his senior year, solidifying his place as one of the program's all-time greats.

Cagle graduated from St. Bernard's (CT) in 1982. He is currently an employment specialist at the Arc of Eastern Connecticut. He works with the special need population and has been for last 32 years. Cagle comes from a family of 14 children (seven brothers/six sisters) and is a man of God. He holds a 2nd degree black belt in Kempo Karate which keeps him focused and relaxed. Cagle serves as a Reverend at the Walls Clarke Temple A.M.E. Zion Church in New London, CT. He believes that things in our lives happen on God's time.

Cagle is married to Michelle Cagle and has four children (Jordan, Jamara, Ariel and Brandon.

Cagle was presented for induction into the Hall of Fame by his High School Basketball Coach/Guidance Counselor, Richard Pagliuca.

Jennifer Hurley O’Malley ’06 had a remarkable athletic career at Anna Maria College, excelling as a four-year member of both the women's basketball and field hockey teams. On the basketball court, she scored 1,015 career points, ranking 13th all-time, and grabbed 377 rebounds, placing 34th on the all-time list. A sharpshooter from beyond the arc, Hurley ranks fourth in both three-point goals made (141) and three-point attempts (457). She also showcased her play-making ability, ranking sixth all-time with 292 assists.She finished her field hockey career seventh all-time with 19 career assists. Hurley's exceptional performances earned her the prestigious Anna Maria Female Athlete of the Year award twice, in 2003-2004 and 2005-2006. She was also named team MVP twice in both women's basketball and field hockey.

Following her graduation, Hurley continued to contribute to Anna Maria athletics as a coach. She served as an assistant coach for the women's basketball team for two years and assisted the field hockey team in 2007 and 2008 before becoming the head field hockey coach for two seasons (2009-2010). Her dedication and achievements left a lasting impact on the college's athletic program.

Hurley graduated from David Prouty High School in 2002. She is currently a Human Resources Business Partner for Price Chopper/Marker 32.

Hurley is married to Adam O'Malley, a 2006 Anna Maria graduate, and has two daughters, Lily and Hailey. Hurley's brother, Matthew Hurley, resides with her sister and family for over 20 years. 

Jennifer was presented into the Hall of Fame by her husband, Adam.

Jeff Scafidi ’12, made an indelible mark on Anna Maria College’s baseball program, rewriting the record books during his impressive four-year career. Until recently, he held all-time records in hits (234), batting average (.404), runs scored (127), doubles (49), triples (16), home runs (14), RBIs (143), total bases (353), on-base percentage (.459), and slugging percentage (.620). As a pitcher, he ranked second all-time with 13 wins and still holds the all-time record for triples (16) and slugging percentage (.617).

Scafidi's dominance extended to season records, where he continues to rank first for hits (70), batting average (.486), triples (5, tied), total bases (110), extra-base hits (25), and slugging percentage (.764) — all set during his standout 2010 season.
During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in helping the AMCATS secure 87 wins, including a record-breaking 26 victories in 2011. His leadership propelled the team to ECAC Tournament co-champions in 2011 and to the championship game in 2012.

Scafidi's remarkable achievements earned him numerous accolades, including Commonwealth Coast Conference First Team honors in 2010 and 2011. He was named 2010 and 2012 Anna Maria Male Athlete of the Year. In 2010 he was named to the D3Baseball.Com Preseason All-American honorable mention team. In his senior season, Scafidi was named the 2012 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Year, while being named to All-Conference First Team as an outfielder/utility player and Second Team honors as a pitcher. He was also selected to the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association All-New England First Team, ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team , D3Baseball.Com All-New England First Team and the ECAC All-Star Team, cementing his legacy as one of the program’s all-time greats.

Currently a Public Safety Dispatcher for Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Scafidi graduated from Burncoat High School in 2008. He is married to Katie Sullivan, a 2013 Anna Maria College graduate.

Robert Small ’14 left an unforgettable mark on the Anna Maria football program, his name woven into the record books after four remarkable seasons on the field. A standout player from the start, Small played a crucial role in the program’s early history, including its first-ever victory in 2012—a thrilling 35-33 win over Becker. As a freshman, he contributed significantly to that milestone, carrying the ball 26 times for 96 yards, setting the foundation for what would become an extraordinary career.

Over the years, Small established himself as one of the most dominant running backs in program history. In 2013, he set a single-game record for rushing touchdowns, finding the end zone four times in a commanding performance against Maine Maritime. His explosive ability was on full display against Castleton in 2010, when he rushed for 256 yards—the most ever in a single game—while also recording an incredible 10.7 yards per carry.

Small's consistency and power carried throughout his career, where he shattered records and set new standards for excellence. Small holds the program’s single-season rushing record with 1,224 yards and 15 touchdowns, cementing his place as one of the most prolific rushers Anna Maria has ever seen. By the time he hung up his cleats, he had become the program’s all-time leader in rushing yards with 3,643, while also setting records for rushing attempts, touchdowns, yards per carry, rushing yards per game, and all-purpose yards.

His dominance did not go unnoticed. In 2011, he earned Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) Honorable Mention before elevating his game to a First Team All-Conference selection in 2012. His senior season in 2013 was his finest yet, as he was named the ECFC Offensive Player of the Year and once again earned First Team All-Conference honors.

Small’s contributions to Anna Maria football extended far beyond statistics. He helped shape the identity of a young program, proving that success was not just possible but inevitable. His legacy as one of the greatest players to ever wear an Anna Maria jersey remains firmly intact, a testament to his talent, dedication, and lasting impact on the team. He returned to Anna Maria to coach the running backs in the 2020 season.

Small graduated high school from Sleepy Hollow High School (NY). He has worked as a Correctional Officer for the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office since 2016. He is married to Emily Small, a 2017 Anna Maria Gradate, and has a son, Watson and daughter, Amaya.

Robert was presented into the Hall of Fame by former Anna Maria Assistant Football Coach, Ryan Kelly.

Raymond LeBoeuf, Jr dedicated 35 years of his life to Anna Maria College, serving as an athletic trainer from 1986 until his retirement in August 2021. A pillar of the athletic department, his impact extended far beyond the sidelines, shaping the experiences of countless student-athletes throughout his tenure.

LeBoeuf’s journey in athletic training began long before he arrived at Anna Maria. In March 2020, he reached a remarkable milestone—40 years as a certified athletic trainer. As one of the first athletic trainers licensed in the state of Massachusetts, he held the distinction of being license number 22, a testament to his pioneering role in the profession.

A 1978 graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in athletic training, LeBoeuf gained invaluable experience during his cooperative learning program with the legendary Bill “Doc” Samko at Worcester Academy, a NATA Hall of Famer. After earning his degree, he sharpened his skills through brief stints at the College of Saint Rose, Shrewsbury High School, and Grafton High School before finding his true home at Anna Maria in 1986. Peter Kenoke, NATA Hall of Famer, was also a key mentor early in LeBoeuf’s career.

Throughout his career, LeBoeuf embodied the Catholic values and mission of Anna Maria College and the Sisters of Saint Anne. Always willing to lend a hand, he was the kind of person who never turned his back on someone in need. His unwavering dedication, hard work, and team-first mentality earned him the prestigious President’s Excellence Award in June 2018—an honor given to faculty, staff, or administrators who not only strive for excellence but exemplify it in their daily work.

LeBoeuf’s influence on Anna Maria athletics is immeasurable. He played a vital role in shaping the student-athlete experience for generations of AMCATS, forging lasting relationships with alumni, mentoring current athletes, and sharing his deep love for the college with future students. Even after retiring, his connection to the program remained strong. True to form, he returned to campus to help cover practices and games when needed and can still often be found on the sidelines, cheering on the next generation of Anna Maria athletes. For more than three decades, LeBoeuf, was more than just an athletic trainer—he was a mentor, a friend, and an unwavering source of support.

A 1973 graduate of Doherty, LeBoeuf is married to Kathy LeBoeuf and has two daughters, Katlin LeBoeuf Hood and Amanda. He has a one grandson, Dakota Hood.

Raymond was presented into the Hall of Fame by Steve Washkevich, the first Director of Athletics at Anna Maria College and a member of the Hall of Fame.
