Women's Soccer Can't Hold On Against Blazers

PAXTON, MA - On Saturday, September 14th the Anna Maria College women's soccer team hosted the Elms College Blazers for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS last the game 3-2.

The AMCATS were the first on the board after Abigail Smith scored just twenty two minutes into the first half. The AMCATS would keep their momentum rolling as Megan Swan scored the AMCATS second goal off a pass from Olivia Val Da Serra. Swans goal would give the AMCATS a 2-0 lead over the Blazers as the first half came to a close.

Unable to hold onto the lead, the AMCATS were met with 3 straight goals from the blazers in the second half to make the game 3-2. Struggling to develop any more offense, the AMCATS found themselves unable to even the game out resulting in a 3-2 loss as the game came to a close.

  • The AMCATS have opened up each of their last two games with 2-0 leads over their opposing teams.
