COLBY-SAWYER CHARGERS PAST WOMEN'S LACROSSE

NEW LONDON, NH- On Saturday, April 5, 2025, the Anna Maria College women's lacrosse team traveled New London, NH to take on the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 21-4.

The Chargers would open the game with four early goals in the first quarter. It would be the AMCATS to get their first goal of the game with about 6 minutes left to play in the first quarter off the stick of Riley Michaud assisted by Raegan Hachey. The Chargers would answer to the AMCATS lone goal in the first quarter, scoring two more goals before the end of the first quarter. The AMCATS would head to the 2nd quarter down to the Chargers 6 to 1. 

The AMCATS would look to come out strong against the Chargers as they are trailing by five goals heading into the second quarter. It would not go in the AMACTS favor as the Chargers would come out in the 2nd and score 4 unanswered goals against the AMCATS taking the lead 10 to 1. It wouldn't be until late in the second quarter with about three minutes left in the second where the AMCATS would get their second goal of the game off the stick of Riley Michaud for her second goal of the game. The Chargers would manage to get one more goal against the AMCATS before halftime, increasing their lead by nine goals with a score of 11 to 2. 

The AMCATS would come out in the third quarter scoring first off, a pass from Ivy Ballou to Riley Michaud for Michaud third goal of the game. The AMCATS would manage one more goal in the game off a pass from Riley Michaud to Raegan Hachey for the AMCATS fourth and final goal of the game. The Chargers would go on to score ten more goals against the AMCATS to beat them 21 to 4. 

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE 

  • Riley Michaud would lead the offense for the AMCATS scoring three goals against the Chargers and assisting the fourth goal. Michaud would add to her total of 28 goals and 8 assists for a total of 35 points in 11 games played so far this season. 
  • Raegan Hachey would have a two-point game against the Chargers with a goal and an assist. Hachey would lead the draw controls for the AMCATS with 4.
  • Kortney Clark would lead the AMCATS in ground balls against the Chargers with 4.
  • Grace Holden would record 17 saves in the game against the Chargers.

WHAT'S NEXT: 

The AMCATS will be back in action on Tuesday April 8th, 2025, where they will host the Falcons of Albertus Magnus for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The seniors will be honored prior to opening draw for senior day. Opening Draw is set for 6:00pm.
