
Baseball Falls To Blue Jays On The Road
CONNECTICUT- On Tuesday April 1st, 2025, the Anna Maria College baseball team traveled to Connecticut to take on the Blue Jays of Saint Joseph of Connecticut for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS would lose to the Blue Jays 13 to 4.
The Blue Jays would get off to a quick start, scoring four runs on the AMCATS heading into the third inning. The AMCATS were able to get one run back in the bottom of the second inning. The game would continue with both teams scoring no runs in the third inning. The fourth inning would bring runs for both teams as the Blue Jays would get two more runs on the AMCATS to increase their lead 6 to 1. The AMCATS were not going away as they would have a big inning against the Blue Jays in the fourth, scoring three runs to only trail the Blue Jays by 2 heading into the fifth inning. The AMCATS would not get the outcome they hoped for after only trailing to the Blue Jays 6 to 4. The Blue Jays would come out in the fifth inning and take control of the remainder of game scoring 3 in the sixth inning and 4 in the eighth inning. The AMCATS were not able to manage another run, after their 4th run in the third inning. The AMCATS would fall to the Blue Jays 13 to 4.
Jeremy Rosenberg would go 3 for 2 at bat with 1 RBI for the AMCATS. Jonathan Guardascione would go 4 for 2 for the AMCATS, scoring 2 runs for the AMCATS.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- Jonathan Guardascione would get a double against the Blue Jays to for his third double of the season. He would also add to his total of hits so far this season with 14.
- Jeremy Rosenberg would also double for the AMCATS against the Blue Jays, getting his 6 double of the season so far. He would also add to his run total for the AMCATS with 16 so far in the season.
