
Baseball Held Scoreless By Falcons
LYNN, MA - On Friday, February 28th the Anna Maria College baseball team hosted the Fitchburg State University Falcons at Fraser Field in Lynn, MA for a non-conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 15-0.
After a scoreless first inning of play, the Falcons started the scoring with three runs in the top of the second inning taking an early lead over the AMCATS. Struggling to generate offense, the Falcons continued to grow their lead over the AMCATS resulting in a 15 point lead after nine innings.
Tommy Sasso batted .500 going 1 for 2 with the AMCATS only hit of the afternoon. Christopher Reardon made his NCAA debut on the mound, closing out the game for the AMCATS. While on the mound Reardon struck out four batters over 2.2 innings pitched.
COMING UP:
The AMCATS are back in action on Saturday, March 1st where they will host the Worcester State University Lancers for a non-conference matchup. Opening pitch is set for 2:30pm at NEBC in Northborough, MA.
