Cardinals Fly Past Men's Basketball

MIDDLETOWN, CT - On Friday, November 22nd the Anna Maria College men's basketball team traveled to Middletown, CT to take on the Cardinals of Wesleyan University for game one of the Wesleyan Tournament. The AMCATS lost the game 87-56.

The Cardinals came out early against the AMCATS building an 18 point lead in the first half. The Cardinals wouldn't take their foot off the gas in the second half as they continued to pile onto the AMCATS resulting in a final score of 87-56. Gabriel Armstead led the AMCATS offense with 15 points in the effort against the Cardinals. John Witt was the second leading scorer for the AMCATS putting up 11 points.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

  • Gabriel Armstead leads the AMCATS in PPG so far this season with an average of 13.4.

COMING UP:

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, November 23rd where they will take on the Broncos of SUNY Delhi for the consolation game of the Wesleyan Tournament. Opening tip-off is set for 1:00pm.
