Men's Basketball Struggles With Monks On The Road

STANDISH, ME - On Saturday, February 1st the Anna Maria College men's basketball team traveled north to Standish, ME to take on the Monks of St. Joseph's College for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 103-76.

The AMCATS struggled to keep up with the monks early in the first half of the game, however as the game entered intermission the AMCATS only trailed by 8 points. Ray Carter Jr. led the AMCATS first half play with 10 points.

Things wouldn't improve much in the second half as the Monks began to pull away from the AMCATS. Gabe Armstead led the charge in the second half with 15 points however the Monks lead was too far out of reach as the game ended with a score of 103-76.

COMING UP:

Men's basketball will be back in action on Tuesday, February 4th where they will host the Mitchell College Mariners for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. Opening tip-off is set for 5:00pm at the Fuller Center in Paxton, MA.
