Raymond LeBoeuf, Jr. served as an athletic trainer at Anna Maria from 1986-2021 until his retirement in August of 2021. In March of 2020, he was a certified athletic trainer for forty years and was one of the first Athletic Trainers licensed in the state of Massachusetts, number 22 to be exact.

LeBoeuf, Jr. obtained his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Northeastern University in 1979. While there he did a cooperative learning experience with the legendary Bill “Doc” Samko at Worcester Academy.  Upon graduating, Ray completed brief stints as an athletic trainer at the College of Saint Rose, Shrewsbury High School, and Grafton High School before arriving at Anna Maria College in 1986.

LeBoeuf Jr. has always embodied the catholic spirit associated with the mission and values of Anna Maria College and the Sisters of Saint Anne. He would never hesitate to lend a helping hand to anyone in the athletic department or the campus community as a whole. He is the type of person that would never turn his back on someone in need. Distinguished for his dedication, hard work, and team first mentality, he was awarded the President’s Excellence Award in June of 2018. The President’s Excellence Award is given to an administrator, staff member or faculty who demonstrates more than a desire to be excellent, but shows evidence of excellence in his or her day to day work.

LeBoeuf Jr. has been an integral part of the positive student-athlete experience for so many AMCATS over the years.  He was and still is more than happy to take a walk down memory lane with any alumni, chat with the present student-athletes, and discuss his love of Anna Maria College with any future AMCAT. In true LeBoeuf fashion after his retirement, he returned to campus to help cover practices and games when needed over the past few years and can still be found attending games on campus.

The 2025 Anna Maria College Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony and reception will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. in the Information Commons in Foundress Hall on the campus of Anna Maria College. Tickets can be purchased at: https://goamcats.com/alumni/HOFTickets.
