Men’s Ice Hockey Falls 2–1 to Falcons in MASCAC Conference Matchup

FITCHBURG, MA- On Saturday, December 6, 2025 the Anna Maria College men's ice hockey team traveled to Fitchburg, MA to take on the Falcons of Fitchburg State University for a MASCAC conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 2-1.

Both teams came out strong in the first period, exchanging opportunities, but neither team was able to find the back of the net.

In the second period, the AMCATS aimed to take control, but the Falcons would strike first with about three minutes remaining in the frame to take a 1–0 lead. The AMCATS continued to pressure the Falcons throughout the period but were unable to tie the game, heading to the locker room down 1–0.

The AMCATS came out determined in the third period, striking early just two minutes in. A crisp passing sequence from Pearce Baker to Owen Barrow set up Patrick Cooks, who found the back of the net to tie the game 1–1. The Falcons answered nearly seven minutes later, reclaiming the lead 2–1. Despite continued offensive pressure and several scoring chances, the AMCATS were unable to score again as the Falcons' goaltender kept them off the board. The AMCATS would fall to the Falcons 2-1.
