
FALCONS CAN'T KEEP UP WITH WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
BROOKLINE, MA- On Tuesday December 10, 2024, the Anna Maria College women's basketball team traveled to Brookline, MA to take on the Falcons of Fisher College for a non-conference matchup. the AMCATS won the game 86-16.
In the first quarter, the AMCATS would silence the Falcons completely putting up 31 points compared to the 7 points the Falcons would get in the first quarter. The AMCATS would continue with all the momentum and scoring as they would continue to pile on the scoring with 19 more points in the second quarter compared to the Falcons 4 points. At halftime, the AMCATS would be completely dominating the Falcons outscoring them 50 to 11, taking them into half time with a confident lead.
During the third quarter, the AMCATS would come out of half time with the same total domination as the AMCATS would score 22 more points while the AMCATS would limit the Falcons to 2 points in the third quarter. The AMCATS total domination and offensive scoring skills would lead them into the final quarter of the game with a substantial lead against the Falcons, with a score of 72 to 13. In the fourth quarter, the AMCATS would continue to totally dominate and would score 14 more points to add to their lead and limit the Falcons to just 3 points for the rest of the quarter. The total domination and complete control for the AMCATS would put the game away against the Falcons, with a score in favor of the AMCATS of 86 to 16.
For the AMCATS Marinique Reddin was the leading scorer with 23 points. Madison Paulhus also had a strong performance, scoring 12 points, in her outing against the Falcons. Sharayah Scott-Cummins would also contribute for the AMCATS scoring a total of 9 points.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Sarah O'Connor and Megan Burdett would lead things for the AMCATS in rebounds as they would both tally 6 rebounds in the game against the Falcons.
- Marinique Reddin would lead the AMCATS with 7 assists in the matchup.
- Marinique Reddin has 212 points on the season so far in only nine games.
- The AMCATS would beat the Falcons for the second straight year in a row.
COMING UP:
The AMCATS will be back in action on Friday December 20, 2024, where they will head to Daytona, FL to take on the University of Wisconsin Whitewater Warhawks for a non-conference matchup. Opening tip off is set for 4:00pm.
