
Reddin Earns All-Conference and All-Region Honors After A Historic Season For The AMCATS
PAXTON, MA - Senior women's basketball player Marinique Reddin was named to the GNAC All-Conference First Team as well as the D3Hoops.com All-Region Third Team after a historic season with the AMCATS.
This season, Reddin finished fourth in the GNAC for Points Per Game with a career high of 21.9. She finished fifth in the GNAC for Rebounds Per Game with 9 and Third in Overall Points with 569. Reddins performance this season placed her on the All-Conference First Team as well as earning her a spot on the All-Region Third Team.
"I am beyond proud of Mar and her incredible basketball career at Anna Maria" said Head Coach Melissa Paulhus. "From the first day we met, when she was still just a recruit, we started making plans to build something great and she never lost sight of that plan. She has been a pivotal part of our growth over the past 4 years and was a key contributor to the success we had this season. Mar has accomplished every goal she has set for herself, breaking record after record along the way making everyone around her better."
Early this season Reddin became the All-Time Rebound Leader in Anna Maria history after she passed Paige Tucker with 754 in her career. Reddin would end up finishing the season with a whopping 896 total rebounds. Later in the season, Reddin would become the All-Time Points Leader after surpassing Katie Stochaj with 1,548 points. Her end of the year total came out to an impressive 1,782 points over the span of four seasons. While becoming the All-Time Points leader, Reddin also broke the schools record for Most Points in a Single Season with 569 over 26 games played.
Along with Reddin's All-Conference and All-Region honors, the AMCATS were represented by sophomore Arianna Gonzalez, who was named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
