Women's Basketball Scratches Past Lyons 73-60 At Home

PAXTON, MA - On Tuesday, November 26th the Anna Maria College women's basketball team hosted the Lyons of Mount Holyoke College for a non-conference matchup. The AMCATS won the game 73-60.

The AMCATS took the lead over the Lyons early into the first quarter after Marinique Reddin and Sharayah Scott-Cummins dropped five points each to help the AMCATS take a ten point lead. Reddin kept her foot on the gas throughout the second quarter, putting up 12 more points for a total of 17 before halftime.

Following the intermission, the Lyons would manage to tighten things up in the second half of the game however the AMCATS held onto their lead helping secure their third win of the season. Marinique Reddin would close out the game with a grand total of 25 points and 10 rebounds for her third consecutive double double.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

  • Marinique Reddin leads the AMCATS with a whopping 163 points with a 23.3 PPG%.
  • The AMCATS are undefeated against the Lyons in their last three meetings.

COMING UP:

The AMCATS will be back in action on Monday, December 2nd where they will host the Fitchburg State University Falcons for a non-conference matchup. Opening tip-off is set for 6:00pm at the Fuller Center in Paxton, MA.
