Sophomore outfielder Andrew Denison of the Anna Maria College baseball team has been named the AMCAT Spotlight Athlete of the Week for the week of March 24th through the 30th. It was a busy week for the AMCATS as they would play four games in the week, one being a double header against the Bulldogs of Dean College. Denison would be powerful at the plate all week for the AMCATS . The AMCATS would take on the Raiders of Rivier University in the first game of the week. Denison would have two singles on the day and draw a walk off the Raiders pitchers going three for two against the Raiders. Denison week would continue to be dominating and powerful for the AMCATS as they would host the Hornets of Vermont State Lyndon in the second game of the week. Andrew would have a standout game going 5 for 5 against the Hornets. He would bat in 2 RBIs and have 3 runs against the Hornets of Vermont State Lydon. His phenomenal display against the Hornets would help to power the AMCATS to victory over Vermont State Lyndon. As if Denison week was not powerful and sensational enough for the AMCATS he would go 5 for 3 in game one against the Bulldogs with one run and drawing in an RBI against the Bulldogs. In game two he would continue to power the offense with three runs and two RBIS, while also going 4 for two at the plate for the AMCATS in game two. Denison sensational game against the Bulldog’s would help to power the AMCATS to victory in game two. He would also have a total of six stolen bases in four games on the week for the AMCATS. Denison would total 12 hits, and 5 RBI’s in 4 games played over the week for the AMCATS. Andrew Denison has 20 hits, 14 runs,10 walks and 13 stolen bases in 17 games played so far this season.

The AMCATS will return to action on Tuesday April 1st, 2025, where they will travel to Connecticut to take on the Blue Jays of Saint Joseph of Connecticut. Opening Pitch is set for 3:00pm.
