JORDYN BLEANEY, WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY

Senior women’s ice hockey player Jordyn Bleaney was named AMCAT Spotlight Player of the Week for games played February 3rd through the 8th. On Friday February 7th, 2024 the AMCATS would take on the Raiders of Rivier University. Bleaney would have a phenomenal week when she would bring the offensive momentum and skills where she would assist the first AMCAT goal of the game against the Raiders. Bleaney would not stop there, when six minutes later she would assist the second goal of the game for the AMCATS. Jordyn would continue to spark the AMCATS offense as the game would be tied to the Raiders, in the third period and it would be the AMCATS to the powerplay with about less than two minutes into the third when Jordyn Bleaney would find the back of the net for the AMCATS third goal of the game. It would give the AMCAST the lead over the Raiders with a score of 3 to 2 with about 18 minutes left to play. Jordyn spectacular and dominating offensive skills and defensive skills against the Raiders would lead to the AMCATS defeating the Raiders with the score of 3 to 2 that third goal would mark Bleaney the game winning goal in the third period against the Raiders. She would end the game with a +2 rating with a goal and an assist. Jordyn sensational week would continue with expectational offensive momentum and skills for the AMCATS. As the AMCATS on Saturday February 8th would travel down the hill to take on rivals Worcester State. She would find himself sending a pass in front to assist on the AMCATS first and only goal of the game against the Lancers. Bleaney currently sits in first for the AMCATS with a total of 19 points with 8 goals, 11 assists and a +2 rating with the so far this season. 

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday February 15, 2025, where they will travel to North Adams, MA to take on the Trailblazers of MCLA for a MASCAC conference game. Opening Puck-drop is set for 5:00pm.
