Winter Spectator Policy Update - 1/28/22

Anna Maria Winter Spectator Policy

PAXTON, Mass. -- With rising COVID-19 numbers throughout the region and state, the Anna Maria College Athletics Department has announced a temporary adjustment to its spectator policy for its Anna Maria home sponsored athletic contests effectively immediately.

The policy, which aligns with the Anna Maria College interim policy that restricts all outside guests during the current COVID-19 surge, will temporarily require that spectators at Anna Maria basketball events in the Fuller Activities Center be limited to individuals who are part of the host institution's testing protocol: Students, faculty and staff. These individuals must present their Anna Maria College ID for entry. Masks must be worn by all spectators at all times. This policy will be effective until at least Jan 31. Anna Maria College and the athletic department will review this policy on a regular basis in the hope that conditions will allow us to return to our usual policies for spectators. Updates will be provided as soon as information is available.

At this time Anna Maria will continue to follow the facility-controlled spectator policies at the Horgan Ice Rink (men's ice hockey) and New England Sports Center (women's ice hockey) which continue to allow outside spectators and require masks for those unvaccinated.

The athletic department is committed to providing live stats and/or video for Anna Maria home games. Please check this web page for the links.

Spectators planning to attend Anna Maria away contests should check this link and the away team's web site for the most updated GNAC or non-conference institution spectator policies.
