Bulldogs Can’t Keep Up With Women’s Basketball

PAXTON, MA. – On Wednesday, January 24th the Anna Maria College women's basketball team hosted the Dean College Bulldogs for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS won the game 76-45.

The AMCATS started the game off early taking a 12-2 lead just minutes into the game. The Bulldogs would end up clawing back to make things close at the end of the first quarter however the AMCATS maintained their lead as they entered the second quarter. The AMCATS would go on to dominate the second quarter of the game as they outscored the Bulldogs 19-5 for a score of 37-19 as the first half of the game came to a close.

The AMCATS continued their dominating performance in the third quarter as they outscored the Bulldogs 26-8, taking a commanding lead going into the final quarter of the game. The Fourth quarter wouldn't go as well for the AMCATS as Dean managed to outscored them 18-13. Despite the Bulldogs late push in the fourth quarter, it wouldn't be enough as the AMCATS still led by 31 points as the game clock hit zero.

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, January 27th where they will host the St. Joseph's College Monks for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. Opening tip off is at 12:00pm at the Fuller Center in Paxton, MA.
