Women’s Basketball Can’t Keep Up With Pride

PAXTON, MA. – On Saturday, January 6th the Anna Maria College women's basketball team hosted the Regis College Pride at the Fuller Center for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 77-50.

After the Pride took an early lead in the first quarter, the AMCATS struggled to keep up as they found themselves trailing 46-28 by the end of the first half. Things wouldn't pick up for the AMCATS after the intermission as the Pride continued to build on their lead, putting the game out of reach for Anna Maria. By the end of the fourth quarter, the Pride led over the AMCATS 77-50.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• Marinique Reddin and Madison Paulhus led the team with 9 points each.
• Arianna Saladini and Gina Parmenter each posted 8 points in the matchup.
• Marinique Redding posted a team high of 14 rebounds. 

WHAT'S NEXT: 

The AMCATS will be back in action on Wednesday, January 10th where they will head down to West Hartford, CT to take on the University of Saint Joseph (CT) Bluejays for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. Opening tipoff is set for 5:00pm.
