Women's Basketball Dominates Falcons At Home

PAXTON, MA - On Wednesday, November 29th the Anna Maria College women's basketball team hosted the Fisher College Falcons at the Fuller Center for a non-conference matchup. the AMCATS won the game 85-38.

From the beginning, Anna Maria asserted their dominance, outscoring Fisher 30-10 in the first quarter. They continued to build on their lead, with a 19-point advantage at halftime. Anna Maria's offense was firing on all cylinders, shooting an impressive 48.4% from the field. Additionally, their three-point shooting was on point, with 32.1% accuracy, and their free-throw percentage stood at an impressive 84.2%.

Marinique Reddin was a standout player for Anna Maria, leading the team with 20 points. She had an efficient shooting performance, making 8 of her 10 field goal attempts. Gina Parmenter was another key contributor, recording 9 assists and 6 rebounds. In total, 10 players from Anna Maria's roster contributed points, showcasing the team's depth and balanced attack.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Arianna Gonzalez was perfect outside the arc going 2-2 on the night.
  • Arianna Saladini went 4-4 on the free throw line while also going 5-7 inside the paint totaling 15 points.
  • Sharayha Scott-Cummins shot 50% in field goal territory while also sinking two three pointers for 11 points.

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, December 2nd where they will head to Henniker, NH to take on the Pilgrims of New England College for their first conference game of the season. Opening tip-off is at 1:00pm.
