Bison Narrowly Beat Women's Basketball 110-106

PAXTON, MA - On Monday, February 5th the Anna Maria College women's basketball team hosted the Nichols College Bison for a non-conference matchup. the AMCATS lost the game 110-106.

Both teams displayed strong offensive performances throughout the game. Nichols had a field goal percentage of 42.9%, hitting 39 out of 91 attempts. They also showed prowess from beyond the arc, shooting 11 of 30 for a 36.7% three-point percentage. The team's free throw shooting was also commendable, with a 65.6% success rate. The AMCATS also showcased impressive offensive skills, shooting at a higher percentage than Nichols. They made 36 of 70 field goals, achieving a 51.4% shooting accuracy. The team's three-point shooting was strong as well, with 11 successful attempts out of 29 shots for a 37.9% conversion rate.

Arianna Gonzalez and Gina Parmenter were the leading scorers for Anna Maria, both contributing 20 points to their team's effort. Gonzalez showcased her shooting efficiency by making all 6 of her field goals, including 2 of 2 three-pointers. Parmenter, on the other hand, had a strong presence beyond the arc, sinking 6 of 17 shots from downtown.

In terms of rebounding, Anna Maria had an advantage, securing a total of 59 rebounds compared to Nichols' 32. Madison Paulhus stood out for Anna Maria, grabbing an impressive 11 rebounds over the course of the game.
