Women's Hockey Surges Past MCLA 6-0

WORCESTER, MA. – On Friday, November 10th the Anna Maria College women's hockey team hosted the MCLA Trailblazers for an ECHA hockey matchup. The AMCATS would go on to win the contest 6-0. 

The AMCATS would come out firing from the gate and score their first of the night on a shot from Abby Vigliotte five and a half minutes into the opening frame. The AMCATS would break the game open in the second period starting with a goal from Chloe Becher on a redirected shot taken by Olympia Myers. About eight minutes after the second goal, the AMCATS would strike again, this time a shot from the point by Tessa Henry. Before the close of the period, the AMCATS would strike two more times just 15 seconds apart. The first of the two goals was scored by Ceili Nolan, the first of her NCAA career. The goal fifteen seconds later was scored by Jordyn Bleaney. Up 5-0 after the second period, the AMCATS would continue their scoring ways with a goal by Kourtney Mielke, her first since joining the AMCATS. Sam Dahill kept the AMCATS net empty making 25 saves for her first shutout of the season. Follow your AMCATS as they hit the ice again Friday November 17th as the visit the SUNY Canton Roos.
