Women’s Ice Hockey Can’t Kick with the Roos

MARLBOROUGH, MA: The Anna Maria College women's hosted the SUNY Canton Kangaroos on Saturday evening for a non-conference matchup at the New England Sports Center.

HIGHLIGHTS

·      The AMCATS wrapped up an at times chippy weekend with the Roos. The teams combined for 14 penalties in the two games, including eight tonight.

·      The AMCATS were outshot on the weekend by a 76-52 margin. The AMCATS did manage to record a power-play goal in both games.

·      Junior forward Shayla MacDonald (Victoria, BC) scored the AMCATS loan goal on the evening, redirecting a pass from senior forward Grace Dodge (St. Paul, MN) over the Roo's netminder's left shoulder. The goal would even the score at one goal apiece.

Anna Maria will be in action again on Saturday when they will travel for a non-conference matchup with the Arcadia University Knights at the Hatfield Ice Arena. The teams will take the ice for a 7:30 PM puck drop.
