Women’s Ice Hockey Falls Short To Eagles

MARLBORO, MA: The Anna Maria College women's ice hockey team played their first game in six weeks on Friday evening, losing 3-1 to visiting Post University at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro, Massachusetts.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Anna Maria junior goalkeeper Sam Dahill (Littleton, MA) stopped 35 of the 37 shots she faced on the evening, matching a season high for the AMCATS.
  • Post sophomore netminder Lexi Levy (St. Louis, MO) picked up her first career win, with 23 saves.
  • The Eagles outshot the AMCATS, 38-24, on the night.
  • Anna Maria freshman forward Raven Carriere (Labroquerie West, MB) scored her second career goal with a game-tier 4:14 into the first period, assisted by freshman forward Carly Drew (Rochester, MA) and senior forward Riley Cote (Tewksbury, MA).

 

UP NEXT:

Anna Maria and Post will be back on the ice on Saturday when they travel to Shelton, Connecticut for an 8:00 p.m. contest.
