Wolves Pull Away From Women's Hockey In Third

WORCESTER, MA. – On Friday, October 28th the Anna Maria College women's hockey team hosted the Alvernia Golden Wolves for the second game of their back-to-back games and the final game of the opening weekend. The AMCATS would lose the contest 5-0.

The Golden Wolves would score early in the first period and would continue their scoring ways until the final buzzer. The AMCATS would respond to the first Golden Wolves goal by shutting down defensively and closing the first period down 1-0. The AMCATS would continue to battle back and forth with the Golden Wolves, trading chances into the last minute of the second period. The Golden Wolves would steal some momentum with 13 seconds left scoring a goal just before the break to go up 2-0. The third period would be dominated by the Golden Wolves who would go on to score 3 more unanswered goals closing the game out 5-0. Join your AMCATS as they hit the ice again Friday November 3rd to take on the Albertus Magnus Falcons. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Sam Dahill lead the way in the net for the AMCATS making 31 saves on 34 shots. 
  • Angelina Rodriguez led the AMCATS with five shots on goal.
