Saint’s Put Up Four Against Women’s Soccer

BOSTON, MA. – On Friday, September 15th the Anna Maria College women's soccer team traveled to Boston, MA to take on the Saints of Emmanuel College for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference Matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 4-0.

A Pair of early goals put the Saints up 2-0 with just over fifteen minutes left to play until in the first half. Struggling to get shots on goal, the AMCATS were held on defense for most of the game. Goalkeeper Kortney Clark saw nearly 16 scoring chances from the Saints in the first half.

Only trailing by two, the AMCATS had an opportunity to come out of halftime and scratch their way back into the game. However the Saints would score a quick third goal just minutes into the half. Not allowing a single shot throughout the final 45 minutes of play. The Saints would tack on their fourth and final goal at the 60 minute mark of the game. With no scoring opportunities in the second half, the AMCATS were held behind the Saints 4-0.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Emmanuel is undefeated in conference play so far this season.
  • Kortney Clark stopped 8 of 12 shots that came her way.
