PAXTON, MA: The Anna Maria College women's soccer team opened Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action when they took on Colby-Sawyer College this evening at Caparso Field. Despite being in control for much of the first half, the AMCATS could not break through with a goal. After playing to a scoreless first, the Charger would score the first goal of the game a bare 42 seconds into the second half when Bridget O'Connell (Peabody, MA) scored with a helper from Sam Bishop (Windham, NH).

- Senior Goalie Alice Yokabaskas (Old Orchard, ME) made her season debut and recorded nine saves. It was her highest save total since she had a career-high 12 against Regis last season.
- Senior midfielder DeAnna Baker (Lansdale, PA) was active on offense, taking three shots to lead the AMCATS.
- The visitors would put up the first goal of the game with just over 10 minutes to go in the first half as Halle Pletzer (Barre, VT) got a cross from Kara Keiper (Peterborough, NH) and fired it into the net.
- The Chargers would score the first goal of the second half a bare 42 seconds in when Bridget O'Connell (Peabody, MA) scored with a helper from Sam Bishop (Windham, NH).
