Women's Soccer Shutout By Monks On The Road

STANDISH, ME—The Anna Maria College women's soccer team traveled to Standish, ME to take on the Monks of St. Josephs for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference Matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 3-0.

Just twenty minutes into play, the Monks were on the board with the first goal of the night. The AMCATS wouldn't be able to hold them off for long as just fourteen minutes later St. Joes put up their second goal. Now down 2-0 with 10 minutes left to play in the first half, the AMCATS hoped to build some momentum going into halftime. Unfortunately the Monks would tack on their third and final goal of the evening with under three minutes left to play in the first half. Trailing by three on their way into the second half, the AMCATS were unable to turn the tides and remained scoreless throughout the final 45 minutes of play. The Monks would close out the game 3-0 over Anna Maria.
