Bulldogs take down volleyball 3-1

FRANKLIN, MA. – On Wednesday, November 1st the Anna Maria College volleyball team traveled to Franklin, MA to take on the Dean College Bulldogs for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the match 3-1.

The Bulldogs started things up early pulling away with a 25-21 set win to start the evening. Trailing by one the AMCATS turned on the jets in the second set managing a narrow 25-23 win over the Bulldogs. Caught in a dog fight, the AMCATS battled hard for another set win but fell short in the third set with a score of 25-21 in favor of the Bulldogs. Desperate to tie things back up the AMCATS went back and forth with the Bulldogs exchanging point for point before Dean pulled away late in the fourth set closing the game out with a 25-17 set win for a 3-1 win over the AMCATS. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Julia Tarantino led the AMCATS with an outstanding 35 assists in the match.
  • Jana Hunt posted a team high of 23 digs against the Bulldogs.
  • Shae Savoie led the team in kills with 13.
