Women’s Volleyball Fall 3-1 to GNAC Leading Rivier

PAXTON, MA: The Anna Maria College women's volleyball team welcomed Rivier University on Thursday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Fuller Activities Center.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Senior middle blocker Ryann Hassett (North Oxford, MA) led the AMCATS with eight kills and added a block and an assisted block to account for a team-high 9.5 points.
  • Senior libero Serena Dennis (Holyoke, MA) topped the AMCATS with three service aces while also contributing a kill for four points. She also led the AMCATS with 14 digs.  
  • Freshman setter Isabella Sand (Seymour, CT) and junior setter Julia Tarantino (Pembroke, MA) topped the assist category for the AMCATS with seven and six respectively.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

  • Kills: Rivier 48, AMC 17
  • Service Aces: Rivier 23, AMC 9
  • Digs: Rivier 68, AMC 57

UP NEXT:

Anna Maria will be in action again on Wednesday when they travel to Boston for a tri-match with the host Simmons University Sharks and the Colby-Sawyer Chargers. The teams will take the court for an 11 AM start.
