Volleyball falls to the Mariners in 3 straight sets.

NEW LONDON, CT. – On Saturday, October 21st the Anna Maria College women's volleyball team traveled to New London, CT for a Greater Northeast Athletic Conference match with the Mitchell Mariners. The AMCATS would fall in three straight sets to lose the match.

The AMCATS would match the Mariners early in the first set, finding themselves tied 1-1 before falling behind 5-3. After a serving error by the AMCATS, the Mariners would go on a run that would add some separation between them and the AMCATS. While the AMCATS continue to show fight, they would end up falling to the Mariners 25-12 in the first set.

The second set showed the grit the AMCATS have as they continued to scratch and claw for points. The second set was tightly contested with the AMCATS showing multiple times that they would not go down easy, fighting to keep the score tied on multiple occasions. Ultimately, the AMCATS would fall in the second set 25-20. The third set was similar to the first two sets with the AMCATS losing by a final score of 25-13. Stay tuned as your AMCATS return to the court on Tuesday, October 24th as they travel to Providence to take on Rhode Island College.
