Women’s Volleyball Drops Two At Curry Tri-Match

MILTON, MA. – On Saturday, September 2nd the Anna Maria College Women's Volleyball team opened up their season with a tri-match in Milton, MA against Curry College and Mitchell. The AMCATS lost both matches 3-0.

-Julia Tarantino led the team with nine digs in the first match against Curry College while also recording 11 aces.

-Ashley Sheehan posted 6 kills on 8 attacks earning a .750 K%. Sheehan also led the team in points with 8 in game one.

-In game two against Mitchell, Sarah Burt led the AMCATS with 5 kills off 29 total attempts. While also leading the team in points against the Mariners.

-Tarantino kept things rolling in the second game with 11 aces against the Mariners totaling 22 for the day. 

-Serena Dennis led the AMCATS in game two with 12 digs against the Mariners.

Anna Maria will be back in action on Wednesday, September 6th where they will host the Worcester State Lancers in the Fuller Gymnasium in Paxton, MA. Match starts at 6:00PM
