Women’s Volleyball Topped by Lancers

WORCESTER, MA: The Anna Maria College women's volleyball team traveled to Worcester State University on Wednesday evening for some non-conference action at the Worcester State Wellness Center.

THE BASICS:

HIGHLIGHTS

• Senior outside hitter Bella Kozciak (Westfield, MA) led all players with a game-high nine kills.
• Junior outside hitter Sarah Burt (Plymouth, MA) contributed five kills and 11 digs.
• Senior libero Serena Dennis (Holyoke, MA) contributed a team-high 19 digs.
• Junior setter Julia Tarantino (Pembroke, MA) and freshman setter Isabella Sand (Seymour, CT) topped the AMCATS scoresheet in assists with eight and seven respectively.
• Sand also had two service aces, one behind team leader Ashley Sheehan (Medford, MA) who recorded three.

UP NEXT:

Anna Maria will be in action again on Saturday when they travel to New Haven, CT for a tri-match tournament with the St. Joseph's College (ME) Monks and the Albertus Magnus College Falcons at the Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center. The teams will take the court for an 11 AM start and the AMCATS will first play in the second game starting around 1 PM.
