AMCATS Release 2022 Spring Schedules
PAXTON, MA --- The Anna Maria College athletics department has formally released their spring sports schedules for the 2022 season.
The AMCAT baseball team is looking forward to taking the final step after a banner 2021 season that saw the team advance to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship final. They are led a proven group of veterans headlined by senior Kosta Drosidis (Holden, MA), the 2021 GNAC Player of the Year after hitting .391 with five home runs and 33 RBI in just 28 games. The AMCATS will get a chance at payback on April 2nd against Johnson & Wales University after falling short to the Wildcats in the championships.

The AMCAT women's lacrosse team reached the GNAC semifinals for the first time in school history last year, and will looks to improve with a roster headlined by senior Ashley Rufo (Pittsfield, MA) who scored 12 goals in just six games last season. Anna Maria hosts conference champion Johnson & Wales on Saturday, April 9th.

The AMCAT men's lacrosse team will be led by senior goalkeeper Griffin Moore (Worcester, MA) who tallied 86 saves in just six starts last season. The team will open their GNAC schedule on Saturday, March 19th against Albertus Magnus College in a 12:00 p.m. game.

Finally, the AMCAT softball team are coming off a season where they made the GNAC playoffs for the first time ever. Senior Ashley Garcia, senior Sabrina Liston and sophomore Eden Forget lead the team looking to make it two in a row. Anna Maria will play conference champion Emmanuel on April 24th in Boston in a GNAC double-header.
