Sharks Pull Women's Lacrosse Down

PAXTON, MA - On Tuesday, April 16th the Anna Maria College women's lacrosse team traveled to Brighton, MA to take on the Sharks of Simmons College for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 16-1.

The Monks started the game off with eleven unanswered goals. It wouldn't be until late in the third quarter that Chrstine Ijawet would get the AMCATS on the board off a free position shot making it an 11-1 game. This would be the only goal the AMCATS would get during the game. The AMCATS could not find any offense and the Sharks would continue to dominate scoring five more goals resulting in the game ending with the Sharks beating the AMCATS 16 to 1.

Inside The Box:

  • Kelsey Kowal would make a career high of 17 saves in net this game.

WHAT'S NEXT: 

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, April 20th where they will host the New England College Pilgrims for Senior Day and for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. Opening draw is set for 11:00am.
