MANSFIELD, CT - On Wednesday, April 10th the Anna Maria College baseball team traveled to Mansfield, CT to take on the #20 Ranked Eastern Connecticut State Warriors. The AMCATS lost the game 25-2.
The warriors showed their muscle on offense early and often en route to a 25-2 victory. Econn struck first with 7 in the 2nd before a Jeremy Rosenberg HBP in the 3rd cut the lead to 7-1. The warriors would score 7 in the 3rd and 11 in the 5th before Josh Batchelder would hit his 1st collegiate Homerun in the 7th to cap the scoring on the day. Sophomore Conor Francesconi threw 2 innings of shutout relief for the cats.
WHAT'S NEXT:
The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, April 13th where they will take on the Lasell University Lasers for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference Doubleheader. Game one is set for 12:00pm.
