Historic week for Drosidis as new hit king at Anna Maria is crowned

PAXTON, MA - Graduate Captain Kosta Drosidis had himself quite the week last week, as he was named GNAC Player of the Week, as well as named to the D3 Team of the Week. His week saw him go 3-5 on Tuesday with a double, then 2-3 on Friday with 2 RBIs, and capped off with an 8-9 performance in a double header sweep of Dean on Saturday, with 2 homers, 2 Doubles and 5 RBIs.

Drosidis added to his legendary career here at Anna Maria on Saturday, as his 4th inning homer in Game 1 was his 235th career hit, passing Jeff Scafidi ('12), to become Anna Maria College's All Time Hits leader. Drosidis is the record holder in almost all offensive categories including Hits, At Bats, Runs, Doubles, Home Runs, RBIs, Total bases, and Extra Base hits. Simply put, he is the most decorated player to ever play for this school. Drosidis has been a permanent in the middle of this Amcats Lineup since he arrived here in 2018 and hit 8 homers on his way to Rookie of the year. He then was named Player of the Year in 2021 hitting .391 and driving in 33 runs and has continued to get better every year he has been here. As good of a player as he is, he is an even better leader and ambassador for the Baseball team as well as Anna Maria College as a whole.

Congratulations Kosta, and we can't wait to see what you do next!
