Choate and Liston Take Home GNAC Pitcher Of The Week Honors

PAXTON, MA - The AMCATS had an impressive showing on the mounds this past week as both Nick Choate and Sabrina Liston were named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Pitchers of the Week for games played March 25th through the 31st.

Graduate Captain Sabrina Liston earned GNAC pitcher of the week for the 1st time this year as she spun a 5 inning Perfect Game to lead the Amcats past the Dean Bulldogs. She kept the Bulldogs off balance all day en route to perfection. Striking out 3 and not allowing hard contact once. Liston was also 3-5 with 2RBIs on the day to help the Amcats to a sweep.

Junior Ace Nick Choate takes home his 3rd GNAC pitcher of the week award as he spun a 2 hit, 7 inning masterpiece on Friday at St Joes Connecticut.  Choate punched out 12 and didn't allow a base runner to touch 3rd base all day as he lead the Amcats to a much needed 1st conference win. Choate struck out 2 batters an inning 5 out of his 7 innings of work, just in complete control all day. He currently leads the conference in strikeouts at 58 in 33.1 innings pitched. He is 5th in the entire country in strikeouts, and 2nd in K's/9 innings.
