Bears Handle Field Hockey 5-0

BRIDGEWATER, MA. – The Anna Maria College field hockey team traveled to Bridgewater, MA on Thursday, September 14th to take on the Bridgewater State University Bears. The AMCATS lost the game 5-0.

The Bears started the game off strong with two goals late in the first quarter, putting the AMCATS at a deficit going into the second quarter. Struggling to get shots on goal, the AMCATS were met by the Bears third goal of the night half way through the quarter. Now trailing by three at the half, Anna Maria continued to struggle to get shots on goal. It wouldn't be until late in the fourth quarter that the AMCATS would get their first shot on goal. By then it would be too late as the Bears held a commanding 5-0 lead over Anna Maria. With no hope of a comeback, the AMCATS would be held at zero for the remainder of the game.
