Field Hockey Deterred by Lasers

NEWTON, MA: The Anna Maria College field hockey team took on Lasell University on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Grellier Field.

THE BASICS:

HIGHLIGHTS

• The game was primarily played in the AMCATS' defensive zone with the Lasers outshooting the visiting AMCATS 30-4.
• Senior goalkeeper Hannah Tobey recorded her eighth double-digit saves game of the season, stopping 14 shots.
• Freshman midfielder Madison-Marie Romano (Lebanon, ME) tallied the lone AMCATS goal with just over four minutes remaining in the third quarter.
• The Lasers' goals were scored by Sheridan Blaha (6:33 in the first, 3:38 in the second), Sage Dodier (7:55 in the first), and Lilly Stark (8:20 in the third, 11:28 in the fourth), all were unassisted goals.
