2022 GNAC Field Hockey Quarterfinals

PAXTON, MA...The Anna Maria College field hockey team finished the season 6-5 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and earned the number seventh seed in the upcoming 2022 GNAC Field Hockey Tournament. The AMCATS will travel to number two seed Simmons College on Saturday, October 29 for a quarterfinal game at 11:00 AM

Anna Maria played in the inaugural GNAC championship game in 2014 against Simmons, finishing as the conference runner-up. The AMCATS have played in the GNAC tournament every year since 2014.

Under first-year head caoch Lauren Chenevert the AMCATS won four out of their last five conference games and went 7-3 over the last 10 games. The AMCATS finished the regular season 7-9 overall.

The AMCATS are led by graduate student Ashley Garcia's (Cornwall, NY) five goals, two assists and 12 points and senior Meghan Sonia (West Tisbury, MA who has three goals, two assists inlcuding two game-winning goals. Junior Eden Forget (Worcester, MA) has two three goals and a team-leading four assists. Senior goalkeeper Hannah Tobey (Falmouth, MA) has played every minute while recording 158 saves and two shutouts.
