Cougars Scratch Past Men's Basketball 93-63

UNION, NJ. – On Saturday, December 30th the Anna Maria College men's basketball team travels to Union, NJ to take on the Cougars of Kean University for a non-conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 93-63.

The AMCATS struggled in the first half as the Cougars began pulling away with a 54-33 lead. After a much needed intermission, the AMCATS managed a closer second half performance. Despite the late effort from Anna Maria, the Cougars maintained command of the game out scoring the AMCATS 39-30 in the second half. The final score would end up at 93-63 in favor of the Cougars.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Sean Zabari led the team with 12 points going 2-3 outside the arc.
  • Jopaul Mckrieth tallied ten points going 4-9 inside the paint.
  • Trent Smith led the AMCATS on the free throw line, shooting 3-4.

WHAT'S NEXT: 

The AMCATS will be back in action on Saturday, January 6th where they will host the Regis College Pride for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. Opening tip off is set for 12:00pm.
