A statement from Coach Jake – "My priority is to build the men's soccer program to a respectable standard as well as increase the player roster size with passionate, well-rounded, hard-working players who have a desire to achieve success both on and off the field. The men's soccer program here at Anna Maria College has great potential to become something extraordinary in the near future."

Coach Jake was raised in the Allentown, Pennsylvania area, where he played his youth soccer career at Lehigh Valley United. Coach Jake then played for Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania (NCAA Division II), which he played four years for the BU Huskies as a Goalkeeper, where he appeared in a total of 23 matches for the Huskies.

In making the transition into coaching, Coach Jake is thoroughly invested in developing his knowledge as a coach and his commitment to career-long learning. From Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, Coach Jake received in May of 2017 a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and in May of 2018, graduated from Anna Maria College with a Master's Degree in Social Work (completed within the one year - Advanced Standing Program).

Along with Coach Jake's coaching responsibilities, he is also the Administrative Assistant for the Anna Maria College Social Work Departments assisting both the Bachelor's Social Work and Master's Social Work Directors in running the daily operations of the academic departments.

We got to know coach a little more in-depth after sitting down and asking him a few questions.

What is your favorite hobby?

My job, my passion, my favorite hobby is being a full-time soccer coach; it does not feel like work when you genuinely enjoy what you do for a living each day.

What is your favorite restaurant in Worcester, MA?

NU Kitchen on Chandler Street is a decent spot to grab a quality bite to eat. It has a good variety and a nice atmosphere.

What is your favorite movie?

A tough question that, with no one answer, I enjoy a bit of everything. If it is terrible, I'll just switch it off.

What is your favorite sports team?

Being an American born in the mid-90s, I am a supporter of Manchester United through and through.

What is your favorite sports memory?

All of it, through the highs and lows, during my youth soccer development and college soccer career, I thoroughly enjoyed all of it, many quality memories as well as experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today.
