Nine Field Hockey Players Named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad

Paxton, Mass. – The Anna Maria College field hockey team were just as successful off the field as they were on the turf this season, as nine players were named to National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad. In addition to the individuals, the AMCATS earned the NFHCA National Academic Team Award for posting a team GPA of over 3.0. 

The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year. 

The following AMCATS were honored: Senior Nicole Morrison (Rutland, Mass.), junior Nichole Lowe (Saugus, Mass.), sophomore Kylie Dalbec (Portland, Maine), sophomore Amanda Hebert (South Deerfield, Mass.), freshman Karissa Bardsley (Orange, Mass.), freshman Kaitlyn Moran (Leicester, Mass.), freshman Lauren DiPillo (Canton, Mass.), freshman Kayla Garczynski (Norwood, Mass.) and freshman Katherine Albro (Leicester, Mass.).

For Lowe it marks the third straight appearance on the squad, while it is the second straight for Morrison, Dalbec and Hebert.

Dalbec and Bardsley were also honored as a Division III Scholar of Distinction for having a cumulative GPA of over 3.9.
