Beauregard Earns NECC Rookie of the Week

Paxton, Mass. – Anna Maria College field hockey freshman Lauren Beauregard has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday morning. This is the second nod for Beauregard as the rookie of the week.

Beauregard had a hand in both AMCAT goals in a 2-1 double overtime victory over Simmons College on Thursday evening. The first year player first found teammate Kayla Lapierre on the left post to give Anna Maria the 1-0 lead midway through the second half. After the Sharks had tied the game in regulation, Beauregard threaded a pass to Nichole Lowe streaking down the left wing en route to the game-winner.

Anna Maria returns to action on Thursday evening when they host Bridgewater State University at 6:30pm at AMCAT Field.
